Etobicoke

Etobicoke homes is my primary focus, as I live in Etobicoke and I'm best choice realtor  for Etobicoke real  estate.

Etobicoke is a community making up the western part of Toronto, Ontario. It is situated between Old Toronto and Mississaga.It became a part of the City of Toronto in 1998 and is now divided into three larger areas known as The Lakeshore, Central Etobicoke, and North Etobicoke. Etobicoke is a home to Ukrainian Bloor West Village festival and Polish Festival in Roncevalles, Parade of Santas, musical festivals and so much more. High Park is one of largest and prettiest parks in Toronto GTA. Etobicoke features beatuful Beaches and Parks near Lake Ontario, many trails, sport facilities. Etobicoke has many great schools, colleges end other Educational Facilities. Due to it's great location Etobicoke has easy access to any point of GTA. 

Etobicoke is among the most dog friendly Neighbourhoods  Swansee and Bloor West are the winners, if you are looking to spoil your dog.

The Lakeshore

This area spans along the north shore of Lake Ontario and is comprised of three of the first municipalities in Etobicoke; Mimico, New Toronto and Long Branch, as well as Alderwood and Humber Bay.

Mimico

• Primarily residential area with two commercial strips; Royal York Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West
• Transportation: Buses connecting to Bloor-Danforth subway and Mimico GO Transit station
• Schools: George R. Gauld Junior School, John English Junior Middle School, David Hornell Public School; also, Mimico Centennial Library
• Recreation: Mimico Tennis Club, Mimico Cruising Club, Etobicoke Yacht Club, Humber Bay Sailing Centre, Humber Bay Park which has walking trails and picnic areas

New Toronto

• Located in the south-west area of Toronto, along Lake Ontario
• Residential streets run from Lake Ontario to Birmingham Street
• Transportation: 501 Queen streetcar line connects to the downtown core, Mimico GO station nearby
• Schools: Humber College, Lakeshore Collegiate Institute, Second/Seventh/Twentieth street Junior Schools, St. Teresa Catholic Elementary School
• Recreation: Colonel Samuel Smith Park (with skating rink), Cliff Lumsden Park, Prince of Wales Park and Rotary Peace Park

Long Branch

• South-west area of Toronto
• Residential district; numerous businesses located in low-rise community strip
• Transportation: 501 Queen & 508 Lake Shore TTC streetcars, Long Branch Loop-110 Islington South and 123 Shorncliffe TTC bus lines, Long Branch GO station
• Schools: James S. Bell Junior Middle School, Vincent Massey Public School

Alderwood

• Single family homes

Humber Bay

• Located between Ontario Place and Mimico Creek
• Condominium towers

Central Etobicoke

South of this area, on Dundas street is where the oldest communities in Etobicoke developed. This area centres around Islington, Richview, Humber Heights, Princess Gardens, Eringate, Eatonville, and Markland Wood.

Islington-City Centre West

• Commercial and residential neighbourhood; one of Toronto’s four central business districts
• Transportation: Highway 427, QEW within proximity; Kipling Station
• Schools: Acacia International High school, Bloorlea MS
• Recreation: Sherway Gardens, Montgomery’s Inn

Richview

• Primarily residential neighbourhood with plazas located at street intersections
• Willowridge and The Westway are two communities within Richview
• Transportation: TTC connects to Kipling, Islington and Royal York subway stations on the Bloor-Danforth line
• Schools: Many elementary and high schools, some of which include: All Saints Catholic School, Dixon Grove Junior Middle School, Central Etobicoke High School, Kipling Collegiate Institute
• Recreation: Shopping centres (the Westway Centre), parks, churches

Humber Heights

• Bounded by the west bank of the Humber river
• Housing types vary from mansions to single homes
• Transportation: Close proximity to Highway 401, buses connecting to Bloor and Yonge subway lines
• Schools: Scarlett Heights Entrepreneurial Academy, St. Demetrius Elementary School, St. Demetrius Elementary School

Princess Gardens

• Southeastern part of this neighbourhood is Thorncrest Village
• Post-war developed residential area
• Transportation: buses connecting to GO Transit line, Bloor/Danforth, and Yonge lines

• Industrial/commercial community

Rexdale

• West Humber River Valley is to the north with an industrial corridor forming the southern boundary
• Transportation: Motorists are within close proximity to several highways
• Schools: Humber College, University of Guelph-Humber, North Albion Collegiate Institute, Thistletown Collegiate Institute, West Humber Collegiate Institute
